Task.

Philadelphia’s Start-up & Arts community had an opportunity to be spotlighted at SXSW through a city-wide initiative. Local Corporations, Institutions, & Start-ups were ready to support an activation that would highlight Philadelphia at the international conference but a concentrated effort was needed to represent the city properly across sectors.

SOLUTION.

We collaborated with Witty Gritty & Philly Startup Leaders to convert at 2-story restaurant in Austin, Texas into the “Amplify Philly House” for 3 days/nights of programming at SXSW.

During the day, we hosted a trade show on the first floor featuring Philly based Start-ups while panels, keynotes, and networking events took place on the 2nd floor. As the day wrapped up, we transformed the 2nd floor into a music venue and brought in professional lighting, sound, & stage equipment to take the production to the next level.

Since 2016, we’ve been accountable for raising over $400,000 to produce the Amplify Philly initiative & have booked over 150 local artists.
